Since his entry into the design and construction industry in 1994, he has successfully managed complex and varied projects valued over $750 million dollars.  Prior to establishing his own Design/Build firm, he worked for several leading New York City construction management firms, where he rose from an intern to Vice President of Construction.  In 2005, after honing his craft, he creatively integrated his construction management skills and knowledge with his architectural background, hence the foundation was laid for the establishment of COHEN DESIGN/BUILD.

Mr. Cohen is a graduate of Tulane University in New Orleans, LA, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture and Masters of Architecture degrees. 

As an architect, Mr. Cohen is nationally certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and holds active licenses in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is Past- President for the AIA West Jersey Chapter.


As a builder, Mr. Cohen maintains general contractor licenses throughout the Tri-State region and he is also a licensed real estate professional, which gives him the ability to engage in turnkey residential and commercial development projects.

His project portfolio includes commercial and residential work throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, New England, Florida and the Caribbean.

In addition to his professional affiliations, Mr. Cohen is associated with several civic and philanthropic organizations where he donates much of his free time.
